U4 Residences rises within this privileged setting as a bold, contemporary proposal, integrated into a 19th-century building. A project rooted in respect for local architecture, reinterpreted through a modern lens to create homes with a distinctive identity.

A distinctive yet seamlessly integrated vertical extension
The project adds two new floors to a historic corner building in the Eixample, located at the intersection of Ronda Sant Antoni and Plaça Universitat, completing its presence through a distinctive vertical extension that blends into the urban skyline.
Burgundy coloured shutters reinterpret elements of the original architecture, establishing a subtle dialogue between past and present.

Heritage and modernity
U4 Residences emerges from an architectural vision that blends heritage and modernity. A proposal with its own language, inspired by Catalan and Mediterranean tradition, expressed through the selection of materials, textures, and a carefully curated colour palette.
Developed by PERF, an architecture studio with an international outlook and a strong sensitivity to context.

An elegant
and serene welcome
The lobby, staircase, and elevators bring together the richness of Modernist design with a reinterpreted project defined by precise lines. The semicircular staircase, finished in Venetian stucco, becomes a sculptural feature that articulates the entrance.
The building offers concierge service and a direct lift access to the fifth and sixth floors, providing comfort, privacy, and a more exclusive residential experience.

Light, proportion, and connection to the outdoors
The residences design is anchored in light, proportion, and a strong connection to the outdoors. Perimeter balconies and terraces extend the living spaces and strengthen the relationship with the city. An ample interior light well, inspired by Modernist architecture, brings sunlight and depth to the interior rooms of the residences.
The interior design is structured around a carefully curated palette: off-white tones on walls and ceilings, white marble as a foundation, and reddish nuances inspired by red travertine, the burgundy of the façade, and iroko wood on the terraces.

Privileged perspectives
The fifth-floor features two exclusive residences oriented towards Plaça Universitat and Ronda de Sant Antoni, whose direct relationship with their surroundings defines their character.
Both units offer two bedrooms, including one en-suite, as well as bright open-plan living areas designed to maximize comfort and spatial openness.
Perimeter balconies extend the residences to the outdoors, framing new urban perspectives and enhancing the continuity between interior and exterior spaces. Noble materials and the highest-quality finishes define an exceptional residential proposal, where reddish tones bring identity and singularity to each of the homes.

Access to the residence leads directly into the open-plan kitchen area, which features a central island and flows invitingly into the connected living and dining areas. The night area consists of two bedrooms, one of them with an ensuite bathroom, and a secondary bathroom.

The second residence is arranged around an entrance hall. The living area features an open-plan kitchen with island and a living-dining room that open directly onto the terrace, extending the living space to the outdoors, where there is also the possibility of incorporating a private sauna, enhancing the exclusive character of the home.
The more private area includes a single bedroom and a principal suite with bathroom and dressing room, both benefiting from natural light provided by the interior courtyard.
